What freedom means.

A battle to be free from anyone who takes without asking and without repaying, who makes demands before earning command and says being boss has something to do with blood. Let all kings earn their title in the ring not by being idle. Let’s be free in this place our people fought and died for us to be in creating spectacles of fire in their honor tonight. Let us awaken our ancestor with shouts of joy and energetic peace mutually defended by all of us who seek only to bask in it. Remembering is for graveyards and taking tests, we celebrate history, we agitate their rest, let’s raise them all up out from their beds and speak their names and weep their tears and imitate their hardfought miraculous laughter. In many ways, their battle is still being fought today. Anyone who doesn’t feel free, freedom should feel free, at its core and base, correct? How could an owner of freedom be subject to anyone or anything, other than daily chores and the work rain clouds bring.
